Pima Community College Scholarships
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is a national organization which for more than 140 years has worked for equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy. A major emphasis is supporting and encouraging women to pursue higher education. The Green Valley Branch has been in existence for 50 years. Proceeds from our branch’s fundraising enable us to offer scholarships for full or part-time students, both men and women, at Pima Community College.
The application process for 2026 begins on Feb 1, 2026.

2025 Scholarships Pima Community College
AAUW has a history of supporting education. Education is, after all, what binds us. We as a branch, should be proud for we have, for many years, provided scholarships to Pima Community College. This year our fundraising efforts, under the direction of Ann Bradford, and with many very generous donations, allowed us to offer six scholarships to Pima Community College of $1500 each. The recipients are:

- ZoAnn Affleck who comes from a family of seven children. She is currently a dental assistant but has returned to school so that she can become a dental hygienist.
- Alexia Beltran, a first- generation college student pursuing a nursing degree.
- Zoe Berg, a single mother pursuing a business degree and maintaining a 4.0 GPA
- Ana Maria Coyote, who is pursuing a certificate in welding and fabrication. She is a single parent who is following her dream of continuing her father’s legacy as a master welder.
- Mia Valenzuela, a first- generation college student enrolled as a physical therapy technician.
- Karina Zepeda, whose goal is to be a licensed professional counselor. She has worked in social services in communities where there were limited services.
2024 Scholarships Pima Community College
Five scholarships were awarded this year to Pima Community College students. Each scholarship is merit based and is for $1500. Congratulations to the recipients and best wishes in continuing their education.

- Alexis L. is the Linda Enterline Scholarship winner who is studying to become a registered nurse. This scholarhip is named for our late co-president, Linda Enterline
- Angelica F is studying dental hygiene
- Christine C. is studying dental hygiene
- Liliana C is majoring in Psychology
- Victoria C is studying to become a dental hygienist.
2023 Scholarships Pima Community College
- Cedra G is working toward her Certificate in Accounting-Bookkeeping. Her next goal is to become an accountant and have a career in finance. She has worked in the State of AZ Dept. of Economic Security.
- Bwthany H is a first generation student working toward her goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. She has joined TREO SSS (Student Support System – Science, Technoligy, Engineering and Math.
- Rachel L is enrolled in the nursing program. Her goal is to become a neonatal intensive care (NICU)nurse. In addition, she is interested in working with babies with infectious diseases. Her inspiration comes from her experience working for Pima County Health Dept. (NICU)
- Mayra M’s program of study is working to receive an AA in Digital Fine Arts and Animation degree with a concentration in Digital and Film Arts. She plans to continue her education in a university to pursue a BA degree in this field or Television/Media Arts.
- Chelsea B. is planning to work on an art degree with an interest in fashion design after she finishes her ESL classes. As a native of Congo, Africa, she is influenced by her African heritage, whish will influence her fashion designs.
- Flor L is currently in Health Sciences and is working toward her goal of receiving her Medical Assistant certificate. She also hopes to become a nurse in the future. She has participated in a non-profit organization which helps families with family members with disabilities.
